noise, a full service agency that launches products, programs, and campaigns for the young adult market (18-34), is looking to hire a full-time associate developer to work as part of team supporting various client projects from our NYC-based office (Chelsea area). The Associate Developer will take direction from a Senior Developer or Technical Lead in developing scripts, web sites and web applications.
Responsibilities include:
• Assist in the design, coding and testing of technical solutions
• Understands standard software development lifecycle
• Understands project and development plans and is able to communicate effectively with project team members
• Adheres to coding standards defined by technical management
• Meet project milestones and deadlines
• Documentation of source code
Skills:
• Excellent communications skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Solid understanding of object oriented programming concepts and MVC
• Understands basic relational database concepts
• Experience with Subversion and/or Git
• Possess working knowledge of at least one structured programming language
• Exhibit technical proficiency with one or more of the following:
- HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Cake, Symfony, Zend
- MySQL
• Possess basic knowledge of XML/XSL
• Understanding of web technologies and how to leverage them
• Excellent interpersonal skills
